Enerqos Celebrates 20 Years of Activity in Support of Italy's Energy Transition
From 2006 to today, Enerqos has grown alongside the renewable energy and energy efficiency sectors, a journey further strengthened by its entry into the Ameresco group.
Founded in 2006, the company has accompanied the evolution of the Italian energy market, contributing to the development of renewable energy sources energy efficiency, integrated solutions for decarbonization businesses, infrastructure, and public administrations.
Over the past twenty years, Enerqos has developed and delivered hundreds of projects across Italy, contributing to the deployment of more than 1 GWp of photovoltaic capacity nationwide. Over time, the company has expanded its expertise to encompass engineering, permitting, construction, operations, and maintenance, ultimately building an integrated operating model that supports clients throughout the entire lifecycle of their energy projects.
A key milestone in this journey came in 2023, when Enerqos joined the Ameresco group. This integration further strengthened the company’s position in the Italian market, combining its deep local expertise and longstanding experience with the capabilities, resources, and financial strength of a leading international energy solutions provider, with an established presence across North America and Europe.

The occasion provided an opportunity to recognize the contribution of those who have supported Enerqos’ growth over the years and to share the vision that will guide its development in the years ahead.
